Play the hand you’re dealt (Monday Inspiration)

You might not be able to do everything you want now. You can only play the hand you’ve been dealt with the time you’ve been allocated.

Does that mean your journey to success might be longer? Sure, but that’s okay. Life’s not a race, it’s a journey.

Does that mean your journey might look different to others? Sure, but that’s okay. Your life is yours, completely unique like you. You can’t compare it to anyone else.

You can take advantage of the opportunities presented to you, no matter how small. An extra five minutes to plan your next scene, or the opportunity to network with some other writers. Maybe even to read a new book.

Whatever it is, however small, you can keep walking along your journey. And someday, you might even have that one-in-a-lifetime opportunity presented to you.

#Mondayinspiration is a chance for me to share my own motivational post it notes with the writing world at large. In the hope, maybe that someone else finds it as helpful as I do!
