You pause, for a second.
The second bar of that song. You recognise it. You feel it.
It was that song you used to listen to when you were 14. The song that you would lament to, to dream to, to wish to.
You would wish for a place in life. A better place.
And now you listen to that song, that reminds you of that place.
And you realise.
You made it.
You made it to your better place.
Inspired by stumbling across this song on my Spotify, the original cover by Jimmy Eat World was a song from my teenage years. A song I would listen to dream of a future full of love.
