Penelope yawed as she pulled the cover over her shoulders. It was warm and cozy under the duvet, safe from the blistering cold that whipped past the windows outside.
It might be early, for her, but this week had been exhausting. Work always took it out of her more than it did others. Maybe others thought work was fun, whereas for Penelope it was just a method of earning money.
Money brought stuff, houses, homes, cozy beds and food in her stomach.
But by god Penelope felt drained. She just wanted to sleep for a week, but she only had one night.
And so she had an early night.
