Becca played until her fingers ached from playing. Until the strings on her bow were shredded.
She sat, breathing hard. She couldn’t hear anything, just the swirling feelings and emotion inside of her threatening to burst free. Her cheeks were already stained with her tears, her lungs ached from crying.
Now there was just the music. It was an escape, a place to tell the world of her pain that she could not express through words.
But no one was listening to her music. No one could hear her pain.
