“Tell me, why,” Cadie said, smashing her father’s head into the table and pulling it back, staring at his bloodied and battered face.
Her father had thought he had gotten away, had escaped before she could track him down.
“Why did you kill her?” she hissed, pulling out her knife, “she was my little sister.”
Her father grinned a bloody and toothless grin. The bastard had the audacity to laugh.
Cadie slammed her knife into her father’s side.
