Thera watched them bring the bodies of the dead through the castle gate below.
The wails rose high across the city, as the mourners crowded the path of the bodies so much that the carts could barely get through.
It had been a disaster, a disaster she had ordered.
A disaster they knew would happen. She just hoped it sent the message that they were weak, they were ripe for the picking.
Only then would their enemy learn that the Kingdom of Begr was not for the taking.
