100 Words – Ink

[100 Words is a story in 100 words or less, based off the word in the title.]

It spread across the page like blood, seeping deep into the paper and into the desk underneath.

Indigo didn’t move her pen, just watched as the ink fed from the tip of her quill across the page.

She was supposed to write thank you for the invite. Thank you for the party.

But she just sat, staring at the ink on the paper.

There was no way she could say thank you for what they had done to her.
